Why this exists

When the WA Residential Battery Rebate Scheme launched in July 2025, we went looking for a clear, accurate breakdown. We couldn't find one. Synergy customers and Horizon Power customers get different rebates. The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program stacks differently for each. National sites either ignored WA or got the maths wrong. Installer websites had a vested interest in making the numbers look bigger than they really are.

So we built Watt's My Rebate: a calculator that does the actual maths for both networks, a comparison of WA installers that doesn't sell its top spot, and a guide that's been pressure-tested against the actual scheme rules.

Our promise

  • Independence. We don't sell, install, or service batteries.
  • Honesty about money. Installers pay us a small fee per qualified lead, only when you choose to connect. Featured listings are clearly marked. That's how we keep the site free and ad-free.
  • Your data stays yours. We don't sell email lists. Your quote form details go to 3 SAA-accredited WA installers we match you with (who pay us a referral fee). Newsletter subscribers are never shared. Full details in our privacy policy.
  • WA-first. Every number on the site is checked against the live scheme rules for Synergy and Horizon Power. If the rules change, we update within 48 hours.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to match you with installers: your name, postcode, contact details, and the basics of your home (current solar, battery size). When you submit the quote form, your information is sent to up to 3 SAA-accredited installers servicing your suburb. Those installers pay us a referral fee (that's how the site is funded). We don't share your data outside those 3 matched installers, don't run ad trackers, and don't sell email lists. Full details in our privacy policy.

If you want your data removed at any time, email wattsmyrebate@outlook.com and we'll wipe it within 7 days.

Terms

The calculator on this site is an estimator, not a quote. Rebate amounts depend on current scheme rules, your specific installer's pricing, and the model of battery installed. Always verify with your installer and at energy.gov.au before signing anything.
